utah vince giron power showcase home run derby 2009 representative

"Vince loves baseball. He is a two sport athlete here at our high school (football/baseball) His size 6' 3", 280, and athleticism would lead you to believe he would lean toward the football arena. However, his first love is baseball and he wants to pursue his future on the diamond. Vince has a great work ethic and spends numerous hours outside of regular practice time to improve his skills. It is not uncommon to find him at our park with a couple of our other players hitting on the weekends. He has a great desire to improve and is willing to work to be successful. Last year due to his efforts he was our starting first baseman and performed very well. He is an excellent student. At the end of his junior year he is still maintaining close to a perfect 4.0 gpa. He understands the role of academics and works hard in the classroom. He is a great young man, who treats his teammates well. They all love him and respect him. Vince always tries to do the right thing. If you have him down, you'll love watching him play. Imagine a young man his size sprinting full speed, with a great deal of intensity across the diamond to his position each inning.
