"Tim Kiene brings a lot of talent, character, and heart to whatever he does. Here at Avon Old Farms, he is not only a talented and hard-working student in the classroom, but a true leader on campus. Athletically, Tim is a very gifted individual. His entire life he has been regarded as an elite hockey and baseball player. He was a member of Avon Old Farms' Division I New England Hockey Championship team last winter, and was the cleanup hitter on the school's championship baseball team in the spring of 2008. Tim is an offensive force in baseball. With his strong and powerful 6'4" frame, he has the ability to regularly hit the ball out of the park. His offensive approach and production is not limited to power numbers though. He uses the entire field, is a smart and patient hitter, and understands the game. He hit over .400 last season, and was among the team leaders in home runs and RBI. Finally, he comes from a very special family and will certainly be an asset to any program.
